Well Homes KC — where wellness, sustainability, and aligned design meet conscious building for healthier living.
Well Homes KC specializes in wellness-focused design, natural finishes, and remodeling that prioritize healthy, non-toxic interiors and long-term sustainability. Our approach emphasizes intentional layout, balanced spatial flow, and access to natural light to support the body’s natural rhythms and overall well-being. We carefully select materials that contribute to healthier indoor environments, including mineral-based paints, wool insulation, circadian-friendly lighting, and low-toxicity finishes that improve air quality and support long-term health. From full remodels and architectural layout guidance to finish selections, every decision is guided by durability, environmental responsibility, and a deep respect for how our surroundings influence the way we live, rest, and feel in our homes.

ALKEMIS PAINT
Alkemis Paint is a premium, all‑natural interior mineral paint designed for healthier spaces and a healthier planet. Unlike conventional paints made with petrochemical polymers, which are the largest source of microplastic pollution entering oceans and waterways each year, Alkemis uses a clear quartz–based mineral formula with earth‑derived pigments to eliminate synthetic plastics and harmful chemicals.
HAVELOCK WOOL
Havelock Wool is a premium natural insulation made from renewable sheep’s wool that delivers exceptional comfort, performance, and indoor air quality without the harmful side effects of conventional insulation. Unlike synthetic insulation materials that can off‑gas volatile chemicals and contribute to poor indoor air quality, Havelock Wool is non‑toxic, chemical‑free, and safe to have around families, pets, and sensitive individuals. It naturally regulates temperature and moisture, reduces noise, resists fire without added chemicals, and even helps clean indoor air by binding common airborne pollutants. Because wool absorbs and releases moisture without losing its insulating power, it helps prevent mold and mildew while maintaining long‑term thermal efficiency. As a renewable, biodegradable fiber with a low environmental footprint, Havelock Wool supports healthier homes and a healthier planet — making it a standout choice for conscious building and remodeling
HEALTH LIGHTING
HealthLighting offers full‑spectrum, circadian‑friendly lighting solutions designed to bring the benefits of natural sunlight into indoor spaces. Originating with Chromalux® light technology developed in Finland and refined over decades, HealthLighting bulbs closely mimic the rich, balanced spectrum of natural daylight, making colors more vibrant and creating a light quality that feels more relaxed and nourishing than conventional artificial lighting.
Unlike typical indoor bulbs that can be harsh, flicker‑prone, and biologically disruptive, HealthLighting’s full‑spectrum and circadian‑friendly products help support the body’s natural rhythms by providing light that aligns more closely with the spectral qualities of the sun, supporting better mood, energy, and overall well‑being.
About us—
Well Homes KC is led by partners Forrest and Danica, whose combined expertise bridges construction, real estate, design, and integrative health. Together, they share a vision of creating homes that support human well-being while minimizing environmental impact.
Forrest is a licensed general contractor with a deep understanding of construction, building systems, and the realities of how homes are built, remodeled, and lived in. His approach prioritizes durability, efficiency, and responsible building practices, with a focus on completing projects in ways that reduce environmental harm while maximizing long-term health and performance. From structural decisions to material execution, Forrest ensures each project is built with integrity, precision, and care.
Danica is a licensed real estate agent, certified Vastu Design Consultant, and holds a Master of Science in Integrative Medicine. For many years, she dedicated herself to studying the effects of modern lifestyle, environmental toxins, and chronic exposure to pollutants on human health. This path led her to open a holistic health practice and natural lifestyle brand focused on non-toxic homewares, natural fiber clothing, and everyday products designed to reduce toxic burden and support vitality. Through this work, she developed a deep understanding of how materials, light, layout, and sensory environments directly influence physical and mental well-being.
Together, Forrest and Danica integrate building science, natural materials, and health-conscious design into every Well Homes KC project. Their work brings wellness awareness out of the clinic and into the home, creating spaces that are intentionally designed, carefully built, and aligned with how people are meant to live, rest, and thrive.
